The nubuck leather is tanned using tannins from the rhubarb root. This natural tanning process gives the breathable leather a unique structure and is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers due to the absence of conventional tanning chemicals. Rhubarb roots, a waste material from the food industry, are used for the tanning process so as not to burden other resources.
