Oberwerth Warranty Extension: "Lifetime Warranty" after registration

Voluntary lifetime warranty for all our bags (not Half Cases) of B&F Oberwerth GmbH & Co KG (hereinafter also "Oberwerth") after expiration of the 2-year legal dealer warranty. This warranty applies to all functional aspects of the bags and does not apply to cosmetic wear and tear, improper use or misuse of the bags. It also does not apply to damage caused by the negligence or oversight of third parties, especially damage caused in transit.

Our bags are made of different types of leather. Leather is a natural product that can discolor, fade or change, especially under the influence of skin contact, light and water or unsuitable cleaning agents. These damages, as well as resulting cracks or breaks of the leather are also not covered by our warranty.

The claiming of the warranty requires that the bag to be registered has been put into circulation by B&F Oberwerth GmbH & Co KG. Claims under this warranty are only valid if the Oberwerth product is registered within 8 weeks of purchase (for proof, the purchase receipt incl. date of purchase is mandatory in addition to the serial number).

Our half cases are guaranteed for 5 years. To claim the warranty we need the original purchase receipt.

For selected bags, which at the time of purchase can be selected on the Oberwerth website (www.oberwerth.com) and which have been registered within 8 weeks of purchase, B&F Oberwerth GmbH grants the consumer an independent, lifelong warranty extension from the expiry of the 2-year statutory dealer warranty, without prejudice to the existing statutory rights in respect of material defects and defects of title.

If the product is defective during this warranty period due to a material or manufacturing defect, it will be repaired or replaced by a defect-free product free of charge at our discretion. The lifetime warranty does not apply to cosmetic wear and tear, improper use or misuse of the product, damage caused by negligence or oversight of third parties.

Prerequisite for claiming the "lifetime warranty extension" for bags and the "5-year warranty" for Half Cases is the proof of the purchase date by presenting the original purchase receipt (cash register printout) and the warranty confirmation, which will be generated during registration and sent to the email address on file.

The warranty service must be carried out by Oberwerth GmbH & Co KG. The product that is the subject of the complaint must be sent to Oberwerth. Costs for repairs not carried out by Oberwerth will not be reimbursed.

The warranty does not cover damage, defects or malfunctions caused by improper operation or handling, impact, falling or contamination, for example by moisture, sand, dust, dirt, leaking batteries or use of unsuitable care and cleaning agents.

The warranty also does not cover damage caused or magnified by improper repair attempts.

The warranty does not cover the repair, maintenance or replacement of parts whose damage or wear is a regular consequence of normal use.

The warranty is void if any modifications have been made to the product without the express permission of the manufacturer.

There is also no warranty claim if the model designation and/or serial number have been removed, altered or made illegible. The serial number is sewn into the inside compartment of every Oberwerth bag. If you do not find a serial number at this point, you can register your bag by sending your sales receipt and personal information to registrierung@oberwerth.de register independently. Please note that in such cases your information will be processed manually and the registration may take a few days.

The warranty is not transferable. The warranty covers only those Oberwerth products for which the lifetime warranty extension has been declared and which were to be selected in the registration list at the time of purchase. The warranty does not apply to used goods and/or goods purchased privately. B&F Oberwerth GmbH & Co. KG shall be liable for damages only on the basis of mandatory statutory provisions, in particular according to the provisions of the Product Liability Act, but not limited thereto. In particular, the warranty claim shall not include a claim for compensation due to destroyed films or memory cards, uselessly expended development costs, loss of data, batteries, travel expenses, loss of earnings, fees or other consequential damages in any form resulting from the material defect.

Any and all further commitments, in particular warranties, expressly or impliedly given by third parties, shall not be binding on us, but shall be binding only on the party who gave the further commitment. Insofar as the Purchaser has acquired the Oberwerth Product as a consumer within the meaning of the law, the statutory claims for defects against the Seller arising therefrom shall not be limited by this warranty.

Important notes:
Please keep the registration confirmation and the proof of purchase in a safe place. B&F Oberwerth GmbH & Co KG is not liable for their loss and will not issue duplicates.
By registering, the customer agrees to the storage of his personal data by B&F Oberwerth GmbH & Co. KG. This data will only be used for our own communication with the customer and will not be passed on to third parties.

In case of a necessary repair, please send the product securely packed with a detailed description of the defect as well as a completed warranty card, proof of purchase, e-mail confirmation and, if applicable, demo pictures to the above address. In your own interest, please ensure that the shipment is adequately insured. Oberwerth GmbH does not assume any shipping costs after the expiration of the two-year legal dealer warranty and will only accept free returns within Germany. Shipments outside Germany will be sent at cost price.

If B&F Oberwerth GmbH & Co. KG determines that a returned product is not eligible for free service under these warranty terms, the customer will be notified of this fact and the estimated cost of repair. If the customer does not issue a corresponding repair order within two weeks, the Oberwerth product will be returned to the customer unrepaired.
